Game Art

Below is a sampling of some of the game art I did for Iron Crown Enterprises in Charlottesville VA back in the mid nineties among other things.  Note that these are all pre-press layouts and some of the text is missing but was added later by the ICE staff before the books were printed.  I'll update this page and add additional content from time to time.

ICE Rolemaster RMSS, 3rd edition, and 4th edition Spell, Class and Racial Rune Trade Dress Illustrations

While doing freelance layouts for Iron Crown Enterprises in the mid to late 90's I was tasked with drawing some trade dress illustrations for the new Rolemaster Standard System RPG line of rulebooks in the style of the borders used in the MERP Moria module from 1995.  The following illustrations were used by ICE as trade dress for the new Rolemaster Standard System Line in 1995, and the suceeding 3rd and 4th edition Rolmaster revisions of 1999.

I was the Science Fiction Editor of our High School Magazine entitled Gallery Magazine during my Sophomore and Junior years in 1982 and 1983.  During that time, I wrote two stories featured in the magazine and the illustration and story below were published as a prequel to the followup story done later in 1983.  It is my first attempt at fiction writing and my first published castle illustration, and the followup story was the first time I had ever written a recap story based on actual D&D play.

Sorry it's been so long since I've blogged here guys.  Here's some more fun Isle of Kesmai images showing the various stages of creating the Isle of Kesmai cover map and a few more Isle of Kesmai images.  Enjoy! (all files created using photoshop):
